On February 26th, football enthusiasts and industry professionals gathered at Botanico Restaurant for the official presentation of the Cambodian Amateur Football League (CAFL) 2025. Organized by One HR Hub, the event highlighted the league’s rapid growth in Cambodia’s amateur football scene and outlined its vision for the future.
Leading the discussion was Mr. Yurii Maslennikov, CAFL Founder—a former semi-professional player in Russia and a seasoned event organizer. He provided key insights into the tournament’s format, rules, and sponsorship opportunities. Attendees were also introduced to the league’s leadership, including Ms. Mutiah Fauzan, Founder of One HR Hub, as Chairwoman, and Mr. Khuon Laboravy, from the Football Federation of Cambodia – Technical and Development, as President.
More than just a competition, CAFL aims to build connections beyond traditional networking spaces. Ms. Mutiah Fauzan championed this initiative as a way to foster teamwork and meaningful relationships through sport, promoting a healthier work culture and reducing workplace toxicity.
The 2025 tournament is set to kick off in May at Chroy Changvar High School Stadium, Phnom Penh. Teams will compete in a structured format—a Group Stage leading into Playoffs, with one match per week, two 30-minute halves, and a roster limit of 20 players per team (professional players are not eligible).
With over 10 teams already signed up, the league continues to grow. Registration is now open open—follow the Cambodian Amateur Football League on Facebook for updates and details.
